A second helping of kitty pi

How is it August already? The summer is just flying by. Soon the undergrads will be back to make it all crowded on campus and take all the parking spots. I've been knitting quite a bit, just too lazy to blog. I'm much better at reading other people's blogs than writing on my own. Mwah, mwah, knitblogland!

I knit another kitty bed from Wendy's kitty bed pattern. I modified the pattern to make it bigger for Keyser Soze (a.k.a. Big Fat Whitey) and to make the sides higher. I used many bright colors of Lamb's Pride Bulky. Here is Tim caught in the giant prefelted version:

So big! I love felting things. I taped lots of towels around our bear canister to make the shape to block it. I bribed the kittens to pose for this picture with cat treats on the top of the bed. They are little piggies.

It turned out pretty well, except the sides are a little too tall and I was too lazy to weave in the ends because I figured i could just cut them off after felting but they turned into big giant knobbly knots that can't really be cut off without cutting a hole in the bed. Whoops. Lesson learned about being lazy with the weaving ends in. But Keyser doesn't seem to mind.
