Happy 12/5 to us!

12 years ago today, my sweetie and I went on our first date, to see the now classic movie Wayne's World 2. And 5 years ago today, we got married on a lovely sunny day in Phoenix. I am very lucky to have such a wonderful sweetie. Here is a great picture of us when we were 16 and juniors in high school (I especially like my shoulder pads, too bad I don't have that Easter party dress anymore).

As wonderful as my sweetie is, I am having a hard time convincing him that going shopping for supplies to dye yarn is a good way to spend quality time today. I showed him all the pretty colors and tried to explain how fun it would be, but I don't think he's getting excited. And I have to dye yarn today if I have any chance in hell at finishing a clapotis for one of my friends for Christmas. Of course, since I want to finish two other tops and make 2 scarves during the same time, it's probably not going to happen, but I would at least like to stress myself out trying.

And all of sudden it is freezing here, and I know, it's California and not cold at all so I should shut the hell up, but it has been pretty mild all this week and then yesterday it was really chilly. Right now it is 54 degrees in our house, and the scary floor furnace won't work most likely because the pilot light is out and I called PG&E and the soonest they can come light it is Wednesday. I begged Bryan to go out in the freezing rain and crawl under the house and light it, but for some reason he doesn't want to. So I guess we'll just have to be cold for a while. (And I know it will be difficult to dye yarn outside in the rain but it MUST BE DONE TODAY so I will figure out some way to make it happen.)
